History of XNN 675H:

This car has led a very busy life; at one time it was fitted with a 2 litre VW engine and used for drag racing.  This has now been changed back to a 1600cc twin port engine.  Like most VWs from the 1960s, it was not rust proofed when built and succumbed to the inevitable body rot.  The body was extensively restored during the early 2000s with the wings, doors and front and rear ends being re-built in hand made steel panels.  It was at this time that the car was painted its current colour scheme of Porsche International Orange with a blue roof, having previously been silver.  The interior which previously had vinyl seats was re-trimmed in black and orange leather.

The previous owner used to ‘show’ the car and like many other VW owners had the suspension lowered and ran the car on very low profile tyres from a Smart car.  We have had the suspension height returned to normal and the correct sized tyres fitted.  A complete new exhaust system has been fitted including re-instating the heat exchangers so that the heating system works.
