History of SNV 650G:  

Extensively restored during 1995/96 during which time it had new front wings and a new door fitted and was re-sprayed tartan red from its original yellow.  The windscreen surround has been rebuilt and a new windscreen fitted.  The engine was rebuilt and the gearbox and overdrive were replaced.  The speedo was zeroed at this time so the mileage shown is genuine for the engine and gearbox.

It was re-sprayed again at the beginning of 2006. The interior has been re-trimmed in black with red piping and the original vinyl seats rebuilt using new seat foams and backs and re-covered in black leather with red piping.  The hood and frame have been replaced and the hood has a zip down rear window which is non-standard for its age.  

Technical: 

• Engine 1,798cc 'B' series British Leyland 5 bearing engine with overhead valves operated by a single camshaft and pushrods, as fitted to the Austin 1800. 
• Oil cooler fitted. 
• Develops 95bhp at 5400 rpm and 110 lb ft of torque at 3000 rpm.  
• Twin SU HS4 carburettors fitted with K&N air filters. 
• 4 speed gearbox with synchromesh on all gears and overdrive that works on 3^rd and 4^th gears. 
• Disc brakes on front & drums on rear.
• This car does not have a brake servo as this was an optional extra in 1969. 
• Front suspension: double wishbones, coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers with anti-roll bar. 
• Rear suspension: live axle, semi-elliptic leaf springs and telescopic shock absorbers.
• Steering: Rack & pinion 2.9 turns lock to lock. 
• Wheels: Knock-off 14” alloy Minilite replica wheels with 185/65 HR radial tyres.  
• Tyre pressures (pounds per square inch): Front 21, Rear 24 (Loaded - Front 21, Rear 26). For sustained speeds at or near the maximum they should be increased by 6 lb/sq.in. 
• 0-60 in 11.1 secs.
• Top speed 106mph.
