Over the years, our cars have been used by the press, TV and film companies on numerous occasions over the 10 years we have been in business, from 1997 to 2007. This has included everything from advertisements and catalogues to 'Holiday' type and other specialist TV programmes.
Triumph Stag – BBC for a Holiday programme covering The Cotswolds Triumph TR7 -Advert for Rennies indigestion tablets MGB - Corporate filming for oil products London Evening Standard – article on The Cotswolds MG World June 2003 - Five page Feature on The Open Road - Hiring an MG Classic & Sportscar July 2003 TR6 Feature Association of American Travel writers on two occasions Triumph TR7 - Norwegian television company filming a holiday programme to encourage Norwegians to tour Wales and Scotland Jaguar E-Type - to attract men to a stand giving information on Prostate Cancer (2002 and again in 2003) Triumph Stag - Union Jack - America's Only National British Newspaper - July 2003 - On the Road Again article in the Travel Tidbits column Hampshire Society - December 2003 - Anne Dickie toured Shakespeare Country in our Triumph TR7 7 February 2004 – Steve Keenan took our E-Type out for a weekend driving around Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Warwickshire, Times Travel Section General Motors – February 2004 – GM used two of our cars (MGB and Triumph TR4A) to compare them with their new 2 seater US sports car the Pontiac Solstice Autopress - August 2004 - Dutch motoring magazine GTO Magazine NL - September/October 2004 - Triumph Stag used for a tour of Wales BBC 1 programme Love Me Love My Kids - May 2005 - produced by RDF Media - a single father's children choose two girl friends for him - and one of them takes him out in our Triumph TR6 on the final date Classic Cars Magazine - June 2005 - our MGB Roadster and Triumph TR6 were featured in their Try Before You Buy feature which gave readers the opportunity to drive the cars they had always wanted Kampioen Magazine NL - June 2005 - our Triumph TR6 was used by two Dutch ladies to complete both halves of The Romantic Road tours around the Cotswolds, based on start and finish points in Cheltenham 30 June 2005 – Steve Keenan writes about the growth in people hiring classic cars from The Open Road and other members of the HCHG - Times Online Tamworth Journal - July 2005 - Morse's favourite classic - Inspector Morse was known for loving classical music - and his Mark 2 Jaguar. Jane Bond discovers for herself the allure of this classic motor BBC Lottery Show – Millionaire Manor – 7 January 2006 – our Jaguar E-Type starred alongside a Ferrari Enzo and an Aston Martin Vanquish S in the game show that accompanies the Saturday night Lottery draw. Car Magazine - July 2006 - our classic 1966 Ford Mustang was compared with a version of the new 2006 Ford Mustang Mark Robinson of Classics Monthly Magazine took our Austin Healey out for a day for a photo shoot and wrote up an excellent article in the June 2006 issue, on both our Austin Healey and the delights of touring around South Warwickshire and The Cotswolds. Channel 7, Australia used our Austin Healey for another of their 'The Great Outdoors' programmes for a visit to Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons near Oxford - filmed in June 2006. Crew Clothing Company chose our Austin Healey 3000 as a back-drop for their clothing catalogue due out in September 2006. The fashion photo shoot took place in the grounds of a wonderful hotel just outside Winchester with the Healey adding just the right amount of character. Triumph TR6 - In the 13 July 2007 issue of Chat Magazine, Christine Parson described her surprise trip around Warwickshire in our Triumph TR6. Our MGB Roadster was used to add a period flavour to the filming of an American TV programme - Keys to the Castle. This show gives American viewers an overview of a number of British stately homes and it was thought that the actor should arrive in a suitable car. The actor concerned was non other than John Barrowman, who is now famous as the swash-buckling American airman Jack Harkness in the BBC TV series - Dr Who and Torchwood. Just like the Tardis our MGB can take you back in time. Our Triumph TR6 was used for a fashion shoot as background for Vernon Kay modelling clothes from the 2007 Tesco Winter season collection.
