Classic Car Hire for Weddings, Civil Ceremonies and School Proms in Warwickshire and Yorkshire
Self-drive wedding car hire in Yorkshire and Warwickshire enables you to have an unusual and affordable wedding car, without having to have the formality of the traditional chauffer driven car. Classic car, quirky car, luxury car, performance, sports car, the choice is up to you.
Our Self-Drive Wedding Cars in Warwickshire
If you fancy something in white then our Triumph Stag is the car for you. It is a four seater and is therefore ideal for the bride's father to drive the bride and bridesmaids to the wedding. The Groom and Best Man tend to want to arrive at the wedding in something more sporty and favour either our E-Type Jaguar Roadster, Triumph TR6 or Austin Healey 3000, or one of the other 2 seaters - boys and their toys!
Occasionally the groom suggests that he uses the Caterham for the wedding. While the Caterham is a fun car it is very small with four point harnesses instead of seat belts and it leaks in the rain. The groom and best man's suits may end up looking as if you slept in them overnight, not a good look for the weddng day. So we politely suggest the Caterham does NOT make the ideal wedding car.
If your colour scheme is an important part of the wedding then you can pick a car based on its colour.
Our Self-Drive Wedding Cars in Yorkshire
If you want to hire a luxury car in Yorkshire we have a choice of a beautiful gold Jaguar XK8 convertible with luxury cream leather interior, or a fabulous Aston Martin DB7 in bright silver. Both these cars are an ideal choice for the bride who would rather be driven by her father, than a chauffeur, to her wedding. The bride or groom's parents may also want to treat themselves to a stylish arrival. Wedding sports car hire is particularly popular with the groom and his best man and we have the ultimate car of the groom's dreams, a silver grey Porsche 911 Cabriolet. With eye-catching retro looks, another ideal groom's car , is our white BMW Z3 Roadster. Drive away in either of these sports cars after your wedding day for a fantastic honeymoon. And for those who want to hire an unusual wedding car we have a charming blue Morris Minor convertible with a white hood. Its a fantastic car for weddings and honeymoons in the nearby Yorkshire Dales.

'Wedding Fitting Service'
Some of our sports cars have fairly small cockpits and while there is enough room for a man in a suit there may not be enough room for a bride wearing a full meringue. So if you are unsure if the bride in all her finery will fit in the car of your choice we are happy to offer a 'wedding fitting' service. Please phone to discuss.
All our cars are provided on a standard self drive hire basis and will need to be collected from The Open Road's bases in either Warwickshire or Yorkshire. As you will inevitably have a busy evening at the wedding reception, we may be able to arrange for collection from the wedding venue at the end of the day, as long as the location is fairly close and we are not too busy. Collection, if feasible, would incur a charge based on £3 per mile, or £1.50 per mile if you leave a car with us and we drive it to the wedding venue to swap for our car.
School Prom Car Hire
School Prom Car Hire
Our fleet of cars are regularly used to take students to school proms. Proms are all about being seen to arrive and our cars are chosen by students who feel that stretched Hummers or pink limousines are a bit naff, and would prefer to arrive with a different sense of style.
In Warwickshire , if a couple of you want to arrive at the school prom together then one of our four or five seaters is ideal. Our Ford Mustang GT can add a touch of 'Grease' to the occasion. If you want to arrive with the top down then our Triumph Stag is ideal, or our Mark II Jaguar adds a touch of 'Inspector Morse' gravitas.
If you want to hire a prom car in Yorkshire one of our fleet of Morris Minors would be both fun and quirky.
