Servicing and Spare Parts

We are continually asked if we do our own servicing, and if not then who do we use?

We complete a thorough check on all our cars before each hire, all levels and electrics are checked, as are tyre pressures.  We do some very minor maintenance and trim repairs but all of our servicing and MOT tests are completed by Warringtons of Warwick.

Warringtons are a few miles from us in the centre of Warwick.  Run by a father and son, with several other employees, they have extensive experience of both old and modern cars.  Rob Warrington has restored everything from a Fiat 500 to a Land Rover, while his father Ray is the proud owner of an Austin 7.  I have seen everything from Bentleys and Jensens to a pre war Singer Le Mans in their workshops.

We are also asked about spares availability.  Can we get spares for all our cars? Aren't they very expensive?  Generally the answer is that there is no problem with spares availability. There are a number of major companies supplying either original specification parts, or having them re-manufactured.   We use, and recommend, the following suppliers: 


We use most of the Autoglym range of car care products on our cars: Bumper Care, Engine Cleaner, Fast Glass, Intensive Tar Remover, Leather Care Cream, Super Resin Polish, Vinyl & Rubber Care

To protect our cars when garaged we use soft indoor car covers supplied by Classic Additions. They are made of a light blue poly-cotton, are ‘car shaped’ with zips on both sides and have elastic front and rear to pull the cover tight to the bodywork.

Ecklers Corvette in the US supply us with parts for our 1978 Chevrolet Corvette  Indy Pace Car

Moss Europe supply us with most of the spare parts for our MG and Triumph cars. We order by telephone and the parts normally arrive within 1 or 2 working days.

National Parts Depot (NPD) in the US provide us with the majority of parts for our pair of 195 Ford Mustangs.

Powerstop Brakes Ltd supply us with Green Stuff brake pads, Turbo Groove brake disks and Goodridge Brakeline Steel Braided brake hoses. We use these brake products to improve the braking capabilities of our cars but without having to make major modifications and without completely changing their character.

Realm Engineering in Evesham supplied us with the alloy D-Type Style wheels for our Jaguar E-Type. Everyone thinks chrome wire wheels look great, but they are awkward to clean and most tyre suppliers can't balance them properly. The change to D-Style Alloys not only enhances the looks of the car but has improved the handling and balance of the car.


TR Bitz supplied us with our immaculate Triumph TR6 and have serviced it and provided us with rare Laycock clutch parts for both the TR6 and our TR4A.


XK Engineering supply us with spare parts for both our E-Type and Mark II Jaguars
